He Said, "Press" : Hearing God Through Grief is a book that chronicles one woman's heartfelt journey through grief and mourning as she wrestles with God over tough issues and listens for His answers. As a young widow with children, the author draws on God's presence as she presses through the initial shock over her husband's death, finds the faith to trust God despite the pain, and discovers the courage to allow God to use the trial to mold her into His likeness.
He Said, "Press" : Hearing God Through Grief is more than a book to help you endure your grief and loss. Through its moving poetry, transparent wrangling with God and practical insights, this book will challenge you to give God dominion over every aspect of your grief and anguish. Only then will you hear His voice and see how He is able to use your grief for His eternal purposes.
Mark Patrick McCarthy, Captain, USAF
October 26, 1963 - January 26, 1995
While piloting his F-16, Mark went down in the Adriatic Sea. His final word spoken to his wingman was "press." A man of courage, integrity, faith and love, his presence on this earth is sorely missed.
"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or grieve like the rest of men who have no hope. We believe Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him."
I Thess. 4:13-14
Will you let Christ reign in and through your grief?
