This is a lovely book, a very subtle but helpful guide for those going through grief. The author succcessfully brings herself into the story, so that we understand and really care when news comes about her husband's death (I found myself getting chills when the colonel and team came to the door with news). Ms Broderick is diect about her feelings, and she charts her emotions and vulnerability with honesty, writing very evenly, convincingly. Her weaving in the word "Press" is very effective per the various sections and her heartfelt poems and Bible verses add value to the grieving process she goes through -- and extends help, inspiration to her readers.
